Clearline’s winter and summer sales internships are designed for college students exploring careers in medical device and technology sales.
Interns help introduce Clearline’s software platform to veterinarians and practice managers, gaining practical experience in customer outreach, product demonstrations, and relationship development. The role provides an introduction to selling technology in a healthcare setting, with direct involvement in the conversations and follow-up that support adoption.
About Clearline
Clearline develops technology that helps veterinary practices share product recommendations with their clients. Our platform enables veterinarians to maintain a dedicated recommendation page and helps pet brands communicate verified veterinary recommendations to consumers.
Veterinarians retain control over their recommendations and receive no payment for making them. Our work depends on building relationships with practices and providing a product that fits their needs.
About the Role
As a Sales & Veterinary Partnerships Intern, you will support the process of introducing Clearline to veterinary practices, from initial research and outreach through product demonstrations, follow-up, and onboarding.
You will work with the founding team to understand prospective partners’ needs, communicate the platform’s value, and help practices begin using it. The position offers exposure to both the relationship requirements of a healthcare setting and the commercial process of a software business.
Separate opportunities are available for winter and summer. Applicants should indicate their preferred term and availability.
Responsibilities
- Research veterinary practices and identify appropriate contacts for outreach.
- Prepare and support communications with veterinarians and practice managers.
- Participate in product demonstrations and discussions about how Clearline can support a practice.
- Coordinate follow-up, maintain accurate contact records, and track next steps.
- Assist participating practices with enrollment and setup of their recommendation pages.
- Document questions and feedback to help improve product messaging and onboarding materials.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a college or university.
- Interest in medical device sales, technology sales, or business development.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Strong organization and consistent follow-through.
- Willingness to initiate conversations, ask questions, and incorporate feedback.
- Professional judgment and respect for the demands on veterinary teams.
Previous sales or veterinary experience is not required. We welcome applicants across academic disciplines and consider experience in employment, campus leadership, athletics, and community involvement.
Professional Development
The internship provides practical experience in prospect research, customer outreach, product presentation, and relationship management. Interns will learn how to prepare for conversations with healthcare professionals, understand a practice’s priorities, and support a customer through adoption of a new platform.
Working within an early-stage company also provides visibility into how customer feedback informs product and business decisions.
Application
Please submit your résumé, preferred internship term, and availability, along with a brief statement of interest.
